Triple H Not Planning Big Changes For WrestleMania

A new report has suggested that now WWE is firmly on the Road to WrestleMania, Triple H may not be looking to pivot any big plans in the way some might expect.

When Cody Rhodes threw Gunther over the top rope in the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble match he booked his place in the main event of WrestleMania 39. His presumed opponent is the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, but he could take on Sami Zayn if Zayn can dethrone Reigns at the Elimination Chamber.

In echoes of 2014 and Daniel Bryan’s ascent to the top, fan support has swelled behind Sami Zayn and many are wondering if WWE will put Zayn in the main event of WrestleMania come what may at the Elimination Chamber, however, a new report appears to have deflated that notion.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer has noted that although things have been tweaked in regards to WrestleMania plans, now things are going exactly as planned so there doesn’t look like any big changes will take place:

“Almost everything that I’ve heard, in fact, everything that I’ve heard months back — there have been changes from months back, but I would say a month back, everything happened exactly the same [as planned].”

“Every single week, there would be something tweaked in some way. Not big changes, but there’d be tweaked stuff. Now, there hasn’t been.”

In addition to Rhodes’ match with Reigns or Zayn, women’s Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley knows she will take on Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship when WrestleMania goes Hollywood in April.
