Triple H & Nick Khan’s Special Instructions To Creative Team Regarding IWC
Nick Khan is trying to block out the noise.
Fans all over the internet recently felt like they claimed a victory over WWE after the company brought back R-Truth despite initially letting the star go. The U-turn came just six days after Truth’s announcement, which was followed by a huge outcry online and loud chanting of his name during subsequent TV tapings.
But despite this, Nick Khan has said he refuses to put too much stock into what fans are saying online.
During an appearance on Stephanie McMahon’s ‘What’s Your Story?’ podcast, Khan discussed his approach to handling online criticism, suggesting he does his best to ignore it as it isn’t “real life.”
“It’s not real life. I try to keep my head down and work. If I’m doing something wrong, someone I trust will tell me,” Khan said. “I’m not going to let someone with 14 followers decide how I feel about my day.“
Khan added that he and Triple H give special instructions to WWE’s creative team, telling them to ignore comments made on social media.
“We train our creative team to ignore the noise. Trust the data. Trust your instincts. Don’t let Twitter or Reddit or whatever throw you off your game…
We try to program for the universe—not the people who want to criticize you. That doesn’t mean we don’t care what people think, but it means we care more about everyone, not just the loudest voices.“
Nick Khan Comfortable Making Mistakes
During the same conversation, Nick Khan gave fans a small glimpse into his working relationship with Triple H.
The WWE President explained his philosophy when it comes to making mistakes, admitting that he and The Game make mistakes and misjudge things every day. However, he expressed the importance of recognising those errors and not being afraid to change course if needed.
The comments come after it was reported that Nick Khan personally reached out to R-Truth to bring him back to WWE after it was initially decided not to renew his contract.
