Triple H May Not Be Planning To Team CM Punk With AJ Lee

CM Punk and AJ Lee are supposed to take on Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at Wrestlepalooza.

Becky Lynch slapped The Best in the World and fans immediately knew WWE is planning a mixed tag team match.

Since The Man is stirring up confrontation with CM Punk to protect Seth Rollins, it only makes sense that AJ Lee comes back to take a stand for The Voice of the Voiceless.

CM Punk can enter Wrestlepalooza with another partner

The Voice of the Voiceless has teased an appearance on tonight’s SmackDown. Since it’s in his hometown, it’s possible he may finally bring back AJ Lee.

However, Sam Roberts on Notsam Wrestling had other ideas about who will finally end up being the one to help CM Punk.

WWE has been setting up a friendship between Punk and Ripley. The global juggernaut usually doesn’t keep pushing an idea on-screen if there is no angle to it.

Why are we establishing an on-screen relationship, a friendship between CM Punk and Rhea Ripley? Is there a chance that it’s not AJ Lee at Wrestlepalooza? Is there a chance that it’s CM Punk and Rhea Ripley? … Maybe WWE is trying to throw Rhea Ripley into the mix so that people like us can speculate wildly and start to go, ‘Well, maybe it’s not this, maybe it’s that.’ So, it’s not so clear the direction that it’s going. They present us a road that has multiple forks in it. Maybe it’s a red herring, maybe it’s we think it’s going to be AJ Lee, but just in case it’s not AJ Lee, let’s start building some foundation so it can be Rhea Ripley.
