Why WWE CCO Triple H May Legitimately Punish Jey Uso
Triple H receiving heat for creative decisions is not news anymore.
The WWE CCO has been called out for various reasons, including taking the Heavyweight Championship off of Jey Uso after just 51 days.
Uso shocked the world after he beat Gunther at WrestleMania 41 in April to start his title reign, but on the June 9 taping of RAW, Gunther defeated Uso to reclaim his belt.
Former WWE manager Jim Cornette explained that Triple H pulling the plug on Uso’s championship run was a necessity in order to generate more heat on Gunther.
However, Uso’s father and former WWE star Rikishi was livid and called for the creative team to be fired.
I feel that those that are writing for this kid his storyline, you didn’t do him justice. You didn’t feed this champion right talent to be able to continue to make this champion… I say fire, fire.
Those that are writing for this kid here, if you can’t come up with some something simple to promote and push your champion that you… decide to put this kid in that position… get the hell out.
Triple H May Legitimately Punish Jey Uso For Rikishi’s Comments
After Uso’s loss, Triple H sent a heartfelt message to the now-former champion.
Ex-WWE employee Stevie Richards discussed Rikishi’s outburst on his The Stevie Richards Show podcast, predicting a tough few days for Jey.
I think they (WWE) did him (Jey) dirty, but here’s what I’m not sure of right now with the current era of WWE. Back in the day, if you came to defend somebody publicly, they will punish that person and they will punish you as well.
I don’t know if Rikishi’s in a position where they bring him in and they humiliate him or do whatever, but they could cool his kid off real quick for a real long time. [1:42:36 onwards]
Jey Uso is scheduled to face Cody Rhodes in the semi-finals of the King of the Ring Tournament on the next RAW episode.
