Triple H Makes Wild Claim About Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns was a star from day one.

As his full-time in-ring career began to wind down, Triple H began to play a key role in WWE’s developmental system which saw the creation of NXT.

During this period The Game worked closely with the likes of William Regal and Dusty Rhodes to turn WWE’s next generation of hopefuls into WrestleMania main event players for years to come.

It was in this role that Triple H first came into contact with Roman Reigns who signed with the company in 2010.

During an appearance on The Roommates Show with Brunson and Josh Hart, Triple H recalled meeting Reigns, claiming he told Dusty Rhodes he was destined to be a megastar.

“The first time I ever met Roman Reigns, I had just taken over and started what would become our developmental system, and he had just transitioned over from football to being in our developmental system. The first day I met him, I sat down with him for 20 minutes just to get to know him a little bit.

Walked out of the interview and, at the time, Dusty Rhodes was working in developmental with me, I walked up to Dusty and said, ‘If that kid is not the biggest star we ever have in ten years, I don’t know what we’re doing. Holy sh*t. He has everything.’

When he walked in the room, you couldn’t help but look at him and go, ‘Who is that?’ He has an innate X-factor charisma. Sometimes that happens, sometimes it’s the guy you don’t see it in them, ‘He’s good. He’s athletic. He’s this and that,’ but it’s really the character stuff. Sometimes it clicks and sometimes it doesn’t.”

Roman Reigns Prepares For Tribal Combat

Fast forward to 2024, and Reigns is widely regarded as one of, if not the biggest star in the entire industry. He’s dominated WrestleManias and his storylines and performances have garnered acclaim from just about everywhere.

But his success shows no sign of slowing down.

On January 6th, 2025 when Raw premieres on Netflix, Roman Reigns will meet Solo Sikoa in Tribal Combat. The former World Champion made the challenge on the December 13th edition of SmackDown, telling his rival he was coming for the Ula Fala.
