Triple H Makes Huge RAW Promise: “Could Turn WWE Upside Down”

CM Punk With Triple H

WWE Raw is headed towards a night where things may turn upside down.

Triple H took to X to send a warning while advertising main-eventers CM Punk and Bron Breakker through a video package.

For weeks, Punk and Breakker have been at each other’s throats. At Survivor Series, the 28-year-old pinned the WWE World Heavyweight Champion in the men’s WarGames match, announcing himself as a potential challenger for the title.

Paul Heyman then revealed that a match had been finalized between Breakker and Punk for the World Championship on January 5, which also marks Raw’s first anniversary on Netflix.

On his part, Breakker cut a scathing promo for two consecutive weeks, as Punk stayed away from TV for personal reasons.

During his second appearance, Breakker took things by questioning CM Punk’s aggression, even stating that he would steal his wife after taking the championship from him.

The last Raw episode of 2025 saw both superstars come face-to-face in the ring, where Punk displayed his superiority on the mic, claiming he was ready and there was no way Breakker was beating him on Monday.

Triple H & CM Punk Detail The Reason Behind Their Past Animosity

Triple H and CM Punk may appear cordial of late, but their initial interactions had no camaraderie.

It was a time when Punk had emerged as one of the best workers in WWE. Triple H, on the other hand, had accomplished it all but liked the spotlight.

As a result, they clashed when it came to creative direction, often not seeing eye-to-eye.

In Season 1 of WWE: Unreal, both Punk and Hunter revealed the reason for their past animosity.

While Punk stated that he refused to relinquish his spot, Hunter claimed that he always felt resistance from The Second City Saints.

Ironically, Punk now finds himself in the same spot with Bron Breakker as Hunter did with Punk back in the day. All will be revealed when the veteran and the future of the business clash on January 5.
