Triple H Makes Major WWE Announcement Involving CM Punk
What’s next for CM Punk?
At SummerSlam, CM Punk climbed back to the top of the WWE mountain as he beat Gunther to claim the World Heavyweight Championship. Not that his joy was meant to last.
Just minutes after winning the gold, the ‘injured’ Seth Rollins threw down his crutches, cashed in his Money In The Bank contract and walked out of the show as the World Champion. Since then, the fates of the two men have continued to be intertwined, with Punk’s wife, AJ Lee, even coming out of retirement to get in on the action.
As the rivalry escalated, Punk teamed with Lee to beat Rollins and Lynch at Wrestlepalooza as WWE kicked off its new deal with ESPN.
CM Punk Going To The Main Event
After his win over Rollins and Lynch at Wrestlepalooza, Punk returned to action on the October 6 edition of Raw, where he teamed with LA Knight to beat The Usos. A week later in Australia, he again beat Jey Uso, along with LA Knight, to become the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Following that win, Triple H has now confirmed that CM Punk will be in action at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1st. But will he be wrestling Seth Rollins?

Plans for Punk could be being hastily re-written thanks to the injury suffered by Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel. It’s believed that Rollins injured his shoulder while hitting a ‘coast-to-coast’ headbutt on Rhodes when he was wrapped up in the corner.
This is also said to be the reason behind him being kicked from The Vision uncermoniously and without warning. It’s been reported that the storyline around the group was meant to run for several more months before it was disbanded.
With Rollins out of action, speculation is running wild with some wondering whether he’ll be forced to vacate the World Championship.
