“Unqualified” Triple H Blasted For “Ruining” John Cena’s WWE Retirement

John Cena’s WWE retirement tour is coming to an end in December 2025.

In the past year, Cena has revisited some of his iconic rivalries from back in the day. However, many stars didn’t get a chance to have a last dance with him.

Fans have certainly enjoyed seeing Cena relish his last year in the ring. But one veteran is not happy with how WWE is handling Cena’s farewell tour.

A few days ago, on the Coach and Bro Show, Vince Russo claimed that Cena is being ignored on his retirement tour.

Vince Russo Is Upset With Triple H Over John Cena’s farewell Tour

Russo added more to his claim during a new interview with Ariel Helwani. The former WWE head writer believes that John Cena deserves a better farewell than what Triple H is giving him.

He brought up The Rock’s WrestleMania 41 fallout and stated that Triple H miserably failed after the storyline went up in flames.

“There are two guys I never got to work with that I would have given anything to work with. Two guys. Bray Wyatt—who was an absolute genius… and number two—John Cena. This guy is a pro’s pro. I never got to work with him.”

“There was some kind of a falling out. Now we’ve gotta pivot to plan B. That’s where the problem lies. They were not able to pivot to a plan B.”

Russo pointed out that John Cena gave them a year in advance to plan his farewell tour, but still, HHH’s creative team couldn’t deliver.

“Now we’ve got arguably one of the faces on Mount Rushmore, who gives them a year’s notice: ‘Guys, this is gonna be my last year.’ And again, what does that come down to? You don’t know how to write a show. You’re not qualified to write a show.”

“John Cena deserved a lot better than this. I wish I could’ve written that story for John Cena.”
