Triple H Looking To Introduce “AI-Based Storytelling” Into WWE
WWE is planning to utilise AI.
With every passing day, AI is becoming more and more prevalent in daily life, whether wider society wants it or not. So perhaps it’s no surprise that WWE is already looking at using computer software to help guide its creative department.
According to a new report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is reportedly looking to integrate AI into its creative process. Furthermore, it has already taken steps in that direction.
As noted in the report, the company hired Cyrus Kowsari in September with the job title Senior Director of Creative Strategy. When he was introduced to staff by Triple H, The Game said that Kowarsi would lead the company’s transition into “AI-based storytelling” while integrating AI into creative services such as graphics and video.
Kowarsi is also believed to be a “liaison” to the White House as Triple H takes on “more duties in politics.” There’s no word on what these duties might be.
However, first attempts to integrate AI have proven to be disastrous.
One person with knowledge of the situation said that the Writer AI software had only provided “absurdly bad” storylines. This included a storyline where Bobby Lashley (who the software thought was still with WWE) came back as a wrestler obsessed with Japanese history and culture.
Despite this sizeable misstep, it’s believed that once bugs are ironed out, AI will have a big impact on storylines.
In another cautionary tale, a different company that tested out AI dropped the idea because it couldn’t understand wrestling or wrestling storylines.
WWE Celebrating Saudi Arabia Step
Meanwhile, Nick Khan has described WrestleMania taking place in Saudi Arabia as a “natural step” for WWE. Off the back of the Royal Rumble being held in the kingdom in 2026, WrestleMania 43 will follow in 2027.
When asked why the company had chosen Saudi Arabia instead of another international location, Khan pointed to its existing relationship with the country.
The decision to take WrestleMania to Saudi Arabia hasn’t gone down well with large sections of the WWE fanbase, and that unrest came to the fore at Crown Jewel. During the post-show, Triple H was serenaded by chants of “You sold out!” when discussing what’s next for WWE.
