Triple H Accused Of Favoring WWE Stars; Veteran Responds

Triple H WWE

A veteran wrestler has commented on people complaining that Triple H favors certain WWE stars over others.

As the Chief Content Officer of WWE, Paul “Triple H” Levesque is in charge of the WWE creative team on the main roster and also managing the roster of wrestlers at his disposal.

While business is still going well for WWE, some fans are frustrated with the product for being stale. There are also some televised WWE events, like a recent SmackDown taping in Utah, where the crowd is smaller than in 2022, 2023, and 2024, when Triple H began in the role as WWE CCO.

Konnan is a former wrestler and one of AAA’s main bookers, which WWE now owns. Konnan has done commentary on AAA shows since WWE bought the company this past April, so he has worked with Triple H this year.

Triple H Booking WWE Like Many Others In The Past

During his Keeping It 100 podcast, Konnan offered the perspective of a booker, saying that Triple H trusts certain people and may not trust others, but that it’s no different from how other bookers in the past have operated.

“I just think, you know, I’ve said this before and I’ll just reiterate it. There are certain people that bookers feel comfortable with. And I think that the usage that you saw of Gargano and Ciampa and Candice LeRae, and others. I think he knows I’m always going to get a good match out of them. They’re always going to be on time. They’re always going to be professional.

But yeah, I do think there are people more talented than them. But every booker does it, bro. Just look at the President. He’s put people in there that have no experience in their cabinet position, but they’re loyal to him and they are there. Whoever is in charge calls the shots. Do I think Wes Lee is more talented than those guys? Yes.”

Wes Lee is a veteran wrestler who was a part of NXT for about four years, but was recently let go by WWE and not given a chance to show what he can do on the main roster.
