Triple H Expects Another Goldberg In WWE
The career of Goldberg might be done in WWE, but Triple H expects his legacy to go on.
WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg returned to the ring for the first time in three years to challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The match had been billed as the final one of Goldberg’s iconic career, and he was joined in Atlanta by some familiar names from his WCW past, such as Ernest ‘The Cat’ Miller and DDP for his final entrance.
Ultimately, retiring on top was not in the cards as Goldberg was put to sleep by Gunther as The Ring General continued to show his dominance and retain his World Heavyweight Title.
While the wrestling business might now be officially in the past for Goldberg, Triple H thinks the family connection is set to continue.
Could Goldberg’s Son Continue His Legacy In WWE?
Speaking at the Evolution post-show press conference, Triple H was asked about possibly signing Goldberg’s son, Gage:
He probably won’t be the last Goldberg in the business. I can see this sparkle in Gage’s eyes, and he’s been very clear about it – if the NFL doesn’t work out, here he comes. So we’ll see.
