Triple H Tells Fans To “Expect Surprises” At Upcoming Event

Triple H WWE Royal Rumble

Triple H is talking big ahead of Wrestlepalooza.

On September 20, WWE will launch its monster new partnership with ESPN with Wrestlepalooza. Even if CM Punk thinks the name is ridiculous.

On the show, AJ Lee will return to the ring for the first time in a decade to team with her husband, CM Punk, to battle Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. And excitingly for fans, it’s believed that her comeback will continue in the coming months.

Elsewhere, Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre, and Stephanie Vaquer and Iyo Sky meet for the vacant Women’s World Championship.

Triple H Makes Major WWE Promise

During an appearance on ESPN’s Get Up, Triple H made another late bid to hype Wrestlepalooza, telling fans to expect surprises.

“Nobody does big events like WWE, with possibly the exception of ESPN, right? What you guys do—the hype that you put around it, shows like this coming up here, and having my honor being here with you, you know, all of this First Take, ESPN.

ESPN builds those events to be bigger than anything, and then we deliver on them bigger than anybody. So expect spectacle, expect surprises, expect to have a lot of fun, and ESPN is going to deliver.”

Meanwhile, it’s been announced that John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar will open the show. The match will be Lesnar’s first since being defeated by Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023.

There had been plans for Lesnar to come back in early 2024, but those plans were scrapped after his name appeared in Janel Grant’s sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis.
