Triple H Picks Dream Matches For All-Time WWE WrestleMania Card
Triple H had some interesting choices when he was asked to fantasy book an all-time WWE WrestleMania lineup.
The man in charge of WWE creatively in this post-Vince McMahon era is his son-in-law, Paul “Triple H” Levesque. The official job title for Levesque is the WWE Chief Content Officer, but he’s really in charge of the talent roster and more importantly, he’s the leader of the creative team or the booker as they say in pro wrestling.
As the WWE CCO, Triple H has been praised heavily for the company reaching incredible highs over the past two years with a ridiculous amount of sold out events and breaking gate records all over the world.
While WWE Hall of Famer Triple H will often say it’s a team effort because of the talent in the ring and everybody behind the scenes, he deserves a lot of credit as the man overseeing it all.
During a recent appearance on The Roommates Show with NBA stars Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart of the New York Knicks, Triple H got to fantasy book an all-time WrestleMania card.
“Hogan in his prime versus Steve Austin in his prime would have been pretty cool. I don’t know how it would have actually been because the styles were so different, but that would have been pretty special.
In their primes, Andre versus Undertaker would be pretty amazing.
A prime Bruno Sammartino, who was so massive at the time in the 60’s and 70’s. One of the most famous people on the planet at the time. Something like 200 sellouts at Madison Square Garden, which is like saying you have 200 pay-per-views that broke box office records now. Prime Bruno Sammartino versus Cena. The crowd reactions and the way they would have worked would have been something special.”
That means Triple H is going with these three dream matches:
* Hulk Hogan vs. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin
* Andre The Giant vs. The Undertaker
* Bruno Sammartino vs. John Cena
