4 Triple H Decisions Vince McMahon Will Reverse If He Returns To WWE In 2026
Vince McMahon and Triple H’s ways of leading WWE are extremely different. Both have had success in running the global juggernaut, but The Big Man needs to be credited for where the company is today.
The Game was handed over a successful company that had an established fanbase. However, after WWE was sold to TKO and McMahon resigned in 2024, Triple H has had complete control over the creative department.
After coming to power, The Cerebral Assassin changed some rules that were strongly followed during Vince McMahon’s era. Now that there are talks of Saudi Arabia buying WWE from TKO, it could mean that The Big Man will be back in the saddle!
Here are 4 decisions that The Big Man will reverse if he returns to WWE in 2026
Long-term booking
Triple H has focused on long-term storytelling, and The Bloodline is a big example of it. Despite it starting when Vince McMahon was around, The Game continued it till 2025. In fact, to this day, The Usos and Roman Reigns are referred to as The Bloodline.
On the other hand, Vince McMahon worked on last-minute script changes and focused on storylines that would have an immediate effect. Since WWE gathered its mass fanbase and popularity during McMahon’s era, it is likely he will reverse this decision.
Creative Freedom
Vince McMahon has never been the one who would give creative freedom to the superstars. He would hear pitches, but would reject them as well. A handful of superstars managed to get their pitches accepted by The Big Man.
McMahon would follow a heavily-scripted show and did not give room for superstars to improvise as per what they felt their character would do. Every ounce of creative direction was dictated by Vince McMahon.
Title Defenses
Vince McMahon had a rule where champions would have to place the titles on the line at least once every thirty days during the championship reign. This allowed frequent change of hands and kept the story moving.
On the other hand, Triple H has allowed champions to hold the gold without the need to defend it every month. This has been criticised by the fans, claiming that championship storylines are becoming monotonous.
If Vince McMahon returns in 2026, he is likely to make title defenses at least once a month mandatory.
Ring mat sponsors
To The Big Man, the ring was a sacred zone. He was against the idea of placing logos in the ring for sponsorship purposes. However, Triple H’s management has put logos in the ring for revenue and business purposes.
The Big Man will mostly reverse this decision since his approach to pro-wrestling wasn’t always revenue and profit, but to provide the ultimate experience to the fans without any business-related aspect in the mix.
