Triple H Brings Back Major WWE Title, Announces Massive Match

Triple H WWE Money In The Bank

Triple H has made a huge announcement on the WWE Wrestlepalooza post-show.

Last night, the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins suffered an embarrassing defeat as he teamed up with his wife, Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, against CM Punk and the returning AJ Lee.

Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes successfully defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre later on the first premium live event on ESPN.

The American Nightmare and The Visionary had a brief confrontation on the Wrestlepalooza post-show, during which they both held their titles up high and stared into each other’s eyes.

Triple H Announces The Return Of The Crown Jewel Championship

When WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H was later asked on the post-show panel about Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins’ confrontation, The Game announced the return of the Crown Jewel Championship.

Triple H confirmed that the World Heavyweight Champion will square off with the WWE Champion for the title next month at Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia.

The thing is on October 11th, he’s [Rollins] gonna go one-on-one with Cody Rhodes, champion vs. champion, that determine the Crown Jewel Champion in Perth

The Crown Jewel Championship was initially introduced last year in Saudi Arabia. The American Nightmare and the then-World Heavyweight Champion Gunther were the first to fight for the title, with Rhodes emerging victorious. It would be interesting to see if the WWE Champion would be able to do the same against his former WrestleMania 40 partner this year.
