Triple H Breaks Silence On Huge WWE Title Change

A major title changed hands on the first WWE RAW of 2026.

The January 5th, 2026, edition of the show set the tone for the month, and the main event was as chaotic as it could get.

However, it wasn’t CM Punk vs. Bron Breakker that had everyone talking, but Becky Lynch vs. Maxxine Dupri.

Becky Lynch secured the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship

The Man had been rallying against Dupri ever since the latter had dethroned Lynch in November 2025. Not only did she challenge the validity of Durpi’s title reign, but she also demanded that Adam Pearce be fired for not doing his job properly.

On WWE RAW, Lynch secured the victory by using the ropes for her leverage, which the referee missed. Following the win, Triple H posted a photograph with her by calling her the first-ever two-time Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

Even Becky Lynch had some strong words for herself after dethroning Maxxine Dupri.

I won FAIR and SQUARE (EXCELLENT officiating by the way)!!! I can’t help that I’m SMARTER, FASTER, and BETTER than DEFUNCT DUPRI!!! Maybe she should have trained HARDER instead of making wedding TIKTOKS!!! TOTAL LOSER!!!

It remains to be seen whether AJ Lee challenges Becky Lynch for the championship in the coming weeks.
