Triple H Blasted By Former WWE Star For Ripping Off Gimmick

WWE Triple H Raw Promo

A former WWE superstar has claimed that Triple H is to blame for a wrestler who bears a resemblance to a wrestler from the past.

As the WWE Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque is the booker of the show creatively, and he also oversees the talent roster.

While The Game is often praised for his mind running WWE, there are also plenty of critics. It comes with the job, of course.

Big Vito is a former wrestler who gained worldwide fame in ECW. He then became a regular in WCW during their final years and also wrestled for WWE. When he was in WWE, Vito wrestled in a dress for some strange reason while also portraying a tough guy.

On WWE’s NXT brand, Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo were allies in The D’Angelo Family, which is a group portraying wrestlers who are also part of the mafia. Stacks turned on Tony D recently to set them up for a feud, but for nearly four years, they were allies.

Big Vito Claims Triple H, Stacks And WWE Are Burying Him

In a lengthy social media post, Big Vito has called out Triple H, Stacks and WWE for “burying” him, among other things.

I’ve got an honest question for @TripleH. I’ve lived this lifestyle my whole life. I’ve been doing this gimmick since 1999. I’m still the Don in the squared circle, but this kid—who has publicly disrespected me—has stolen everything but the shoes on my feet. Your own people have reached out to me, asking for help with “family” storylines. Those ideas? Mine. Talent relations even called me, said I’d be “brought in” down in Florida. Yet here I am—a 35-year veteran—watching @WWE bury me while they rip off my gimmick wholesale.

And yes, I’ve got the receipts to back up everything I’m saying here. So tell me: are we really going to keep doing this? Keep embarrassing Italians with this nonsense? Keep disrespecting my 35 years in this business?

@Stacks_WWE I get it. Imitation is supposed to be the sincerest form of flattery. I’ve got a few old leather jackets if you need them, but I doubt you can pull off the bald look. Just remember: no matter who you put in the “costume,” they’ll always be living in my shadow until I give my stamp of approval.

WWE has featured Little Guido and Tony Mamaluke, who were previously aligned with Vito, as part of The D’Angelo Family, but they haven’t brought in Vito to be part of it.

Triple H is also taking heat from WWE fans because it’s believed that it was his decision not to re-sign veteran wrestlers like R-Truth and Carlito, both of whom are departing the company soon.
