Triple H Allegedly Punishing Popular WWE Star For Personal Reason
According to a former WWE superstar, WWE CCO Triple H is punishing a current WWE star for reasons that extend beyond the professional realm.
Triple H has been heavily criticised by fans and former wrestlers alike for heading WWE creative in what many of them feel is a downward direction. The heat on the WWE’s chief creative officer only worsened with his booking of John Cena to lose his final match via tapout to The Ring General Gunther. This controversial decision was almost universally panned and ill-received by fans and critics who felt that the leader of the Cenation deserved a much better sendoff with some feeling he should’ve won the match and rode off into the sunset in turn giving the fans what they wanted, whereas, some others were fine with the decision of having him lose but would’ve much preferred a passout instead of a tapout hence maintaining the “Never Give Up” mantra that Cena preached for almost 20+ years in the business.
Another similar glaring issue that some critics and former wrestlers felt was the blatant burial of LA Knight on Monday Night Raw last week. The Megastar was brutalised backstage by Logan Paul and Bronson Reed, with the pair sending him through a table and Reed delivering a Tsunami splash to Knight on top of a car. WWE shocked many fans this week when they came out and said that LA Knight would be out of action indefinitely due to a (kayfabe) injured sternum.
Triple H allegedly has personal reasons behind punishing LA Knight
Former 21-time WWE Hardcore Champion Stevie Richards recently shared some interesting insights on the matter when speaking with Vince Russo on Vince Russo’s The Brand Podcast. He alleged that Triple H may actually have buried LA Knight as the Megastar’s character and gimmick is a mix of greats like The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin who were more over than Triple H as superstars back in the day. Richards says that Triple H might subconsciously be reminded of that fact every time he looks at LA Knight and that may be what is leading to his burial.
You can feel the cultural divide that Cena..”I love Vince mcmahon.” Obviously friends with the rock. Hunter there, Hunter and Rock.. I don’t care what people say, and my theory is that’s why LA knight is in the doghouse and they’re taking him off TV. You sound too much like Austin and Rock. It reminds triple H that he’s truly not as over as he thought he was. It’s like a stark reminder maybe even subconsciously. (2:45 onwards)
Richards felt that Triple H did the same thing with John Cena due to his close relationship with top people like Vince McMahon and the Rock.
LA Knight has years left on his WWE contract so it remains to be seen when WWE would consider bringing him back to live TV.
