Triple H Will Allegedly Be Fired From WWE If One Thing Happens
A former writer thinks that if one particular person gets more involved in WWE, then it could be the end of Triple H running the show.
The day-to-day operations of WWE are overseen by the company’s President, Nick Khan, who handles the business side of things, and Paul “Triple H” Levesque, who leads the creative team as the Chief Content Officer.
Since the two men have been in their jobs, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has also been involved as a member of TKO Group’s Board of Directors. The Rock has claimed that he has a good working relationship with Triple H, but many people also believe that the former on-screen rivals don’t get along as well as Rock suggests.
While WWE shows still draw big crowds and host numerous stadium shows each year, some critics note that their Netflix numbers for Raw and SmackDown on USA Network are satisfactory but not exceptional.
Former WWE lead writer Vince Russo, who worked closely with Rock and Hunter in the Attitude Era when they became main event stars, discussed the dynamic between Triple H and The Rock. While speaking on his “Coach And Bro Live” show with former WWE producer Tommy Carlucci, Russo claimed that if Rock wanted to return to WWE full-time, then he might get rid of The Game.
Vince Russo: “If Rock ever decided that he wanted to get back into wrestling full time, Triple H is done. The only reason that has not happened is because Rock’s a movie star, Rock is making movies and Rock has movies lined up. But if Rock ever got a hair up his ass, and decided I want to get back in this thing full time, Triple H is unemployed, as far as I’m concerned.”
Tommy Carlucci: “I agree, but he’s not going to do it. Rock loves being a superstar, a TV star, a movie star and he knows he can come back to WWE. They would take him back with open hands once in a while with the crowd and the things that he does. Full time? I can never see Rock doing because he has too many things going on outside of wrestling.”
As Carlucci continued, he mentioned many of the businesses in which The Rock is involved, including Teremana, the UFL, several upcoming movie projects, and more.
Triple H’s Heart Issue Made Him See Life Differently
During his deeply personal interview with his wife, Stephanie McMahon, on Stephanie’s Places, Triple H spoke about how his heart issue from five years ago nearly ended his life, but when he was able to overcome it, that gave him a new perspective on life.
“In this really, weird f***ed up way, like, my heart issue was a gift, made me see things in a different way. I’ve been looking at life differently. You can go through life, no matter how great it is, or all the things you’re doing, and then all of a sudden you partway through it, have a reset, and go like, holy s***, like, this doesn’t last forever. That’s stoic s***.”
The next WWE PLE that Triple H will be in charge of is Money in the Bank on June 7th in Los Angeles. There have been recent reports that Triple H isn’t a big fan of the Money in the Bank concept, but seeing as it’s been around in WWE for 20 years, the coveted briefcase likely isn’t going away any time soon.
