Triple H Allegedly “Did Jey Uso Dirty” With Controversial Decision
Jey Uso is one of the most over wrestlers in WWE today.
His interactions with the arena audience, wherever he goes, and his multiple-minute-long entrances speak highly of his popularity.
Uso’s highest achievement in the company came at WrestleMania 41 when he beat Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Gunther’s submission to a chokehold made the noisy Las Vegas crowd even more boisterous, as his brother Jimmy joined in the celebrations.
However, Jey’s golden run would last only 51 days, as Gunther would defeat him on the June 9 taping of WWE RAW in Phoenix.
Uso’s father, Rikishi, who was already frustrated with the direction in which his storyline was headed, expressed frustration at his son’s title loss.
Stevie Richards, a former WWE star, while discussing Uso’s loss on his The Stevie Richards Show podcast, admitted that he had been “done dirty” by Triple H.
I do believe they (WWE creative) did Jey dirty because this is the trap…a babyface champion is a dangerous proposition. It’s a slippery slope and it gets stale real quick. Jey didn’t get stale, that’s the point of contention. [1:40:40 onwards]
Jey Uso To Face Cody Rhodes On WWE RAW
Despite losing his title, Jey Uso remains in contention to fight for it again.
He will take on Cody Rhodes in the King of the Ring Tournament on the upcoming WWE RAW. The winner will face Randy Orton in the final at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia.
The winner of that match will then challenge the World Heavyweight Champion at SummerSlam.
On the same podcast, Richards claimed that WWE may punish Jey Uso for Rikishi’s comments, asking for the creative team to be fired.
