Trick Williams’ NXT Heatwave Challengers Confirmed

Trick Williams is finding out life at the top is tough as he now knows he will face three stars vying for his NXT Championship at Heatwave.

On the 18th of June edition of NXT, a battle royal opened the show with the winner claiming a shot at Trick Williams’ NXT Championship. Joe Hendry and Frankie Kazarian from TNA were part of that match but in the end, it was young star Je’Von Evans who picked up the win but that was not without controversy.

Ethan Page made his feelings clear on the 25th of June edition of NXT as he told General Manager Ava that he deserved a title shot at Heatwave as he had not been eliminated from that battle royal. However, Page was then interrupted by Shawn Spears who claimed he should have the title match as he defeated Je’Von Evans in a singles match after Evans’ battle royal victory.

Trick Williams Facing 3 Top NXT Stars

Trick Williams emerged to claim he didn’t mind who he faced and a non-title match between him and Spears was made for the main event. Brooks Jensen continued his shenanigans as he was dragged away by security during that bout but the distraction was enough for Spears to pick up a win over the NXT Champion.

At the end of the show Ava revealed she had made her decision and at Heatwave Trick Williams will defend his NXT Championship against Ethan Page, Shawn Spears, and Je’Von Evans in a Fatal Four Way match.
