Travis Kelce decided to celebrate his team’s Super Bowl berth by channeling The Rock during a championship celebration.

When it comes to NFL players known for being able to do an entertaining interview, fans know that Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce is one of the best in the business.

The AFC Championship Game took place on Sunday night with Kelce’s Chiefs narrowly defeating the Cincinnati Bengals to go on to the Super Bowl in two weeks’ time. The Chiefs won 23-20 thanks to a field goal by Harrison Butker in the final moments of the game. There were several controversial calls throughout the game as well.

After the game, several members of the Chiefs were interviewed including the team owner, coach and some players as they celebrated with the AFC Championship Trophy. When Jim Nantz of CBS Sports interviewed Kelce, he decided to fire off some famous lines that WWE fans know thanks to The Rock. Kelce said the following:

“I appreciate you. How about this beautiful trophy? I’ve got some wise words for that Cincinnati mayor: Know your role and shut your mouth, you jabroni!”

The Kansas City fans cheered loudly for that. After that, Kelce shouted some lyrics to a famous Beastie Boys song: “You gotta fight for your right to party!”

What Travis Kelce was referring to regarding the Cincinnati mayor is a bit of a promo of his own showing confidence in the Bengals ability to beat the Chiefs. Clearly, it fired up the Chiefs and the Pro Bowl TE Kelce.

As WWE fans know, The Rock famously said “know your role and shut your mouth” many times during his incredible WWE career and he also popularized the “jabroni” name that was passed down to him by WWE Hall of Famer, The Iron Sheik.

Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs will play the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 57 on February 12th at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Travis’ brother Jason is a Pro Bowl Center on the Eagles, so it will be a brother vs. brother matchup in The Super Bowl as well. The two brothers also host a podcast together as well.

The Rock, meanwhile, is a former football player that did one of his famous promos last year at Super Bowl 56 prior to the LA Rams beating the Cincinnati Bengals to win the Super Bowl. The Rock also now owns the XFL football league, which begins after the NFL season ends.
