There’s new Ric Flair documentary will premiere on Peacock on Sunday, December 26th. A new trailer has been released to promote it.
Some of the notable names shown in the trailer include Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, Mike Tyson, Stephen A. Smith, Megan Fleihr (Ric’s oldest daughter), and Charlotte Flair (Ric’s most famous daughter).
At the end of the trailer, Ric was asked who is Ric Flair? He said: “The wildest son of a bitch who ever lived.”
Here’s the synopsis of the documentary:
“16-time World Champion and 2-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is one of the most prolific and controversial superstars in professional wrestling history. Flair is a true American icon: from his famous ‘Woooo’ that is still heard in stadiums and arenas throughout the US, to his influence on hip hop music. At 73 years-old Flair remains a constant in American pop culture, but who is the real man behind the outrageous persona? Finally, Flair reveals all, opening up about his storied career, inside and outside of the ring, over the last 50 years. Hulk Hogan, Mike Tyson, Post Malone, Stephen A. Smith, and Charlotte Flair are among those who join Flair in telling the tale of the man behind ‘The Man.'”
Flair recently talked about the documentary on his podcast, which we covered here:
“It’s actually the most accurate depiction of me, the best way to put it, it blows my 30 for 30 away. And people liked that, and some people were entertained by it. Some weren’t, a majority of people who saw it were, this is much better. And it’s really up to date, because of my health issues and stuff like that, that I’ve gone through, so it’s pretty cool. I’m proud of these guys, Dan and Ben worked so hard on it and Tom Rinaldi, he’s a big deal with Fox. It’s a big deal. The whole thing, the production, I’m thrilled about it. I’m just very excited.”
Ric Flair also talked about some of the big names that are in the documentary.
“Totally [unfiltered]. And they didn’t harness me at all. They didn’t edit it, as they promised, they wouldn’t edit, and it’s spot on. It’s emotional, there’s a lot of a lot about Reid in it. Even footage I hadn’t seen of Reid. Ashley is in it a lot, Megan is in it a lot, Wendy is in it a lot. Taker’s in it, Steve, Hulk. I mean, George Kittle, I mean, it’s got a lot of new people [in it]. Stephen A. Smith really, really put me over and, you know, it’s one thing that to have people in the business put you over. It’s the people on the outside that think you accomplished something mean just as much.”
