More WWE content is coming to Netflix.

On April 19 and 20, WWE took over Las Vegas for WrestleMania 41 weekend. The event was pegged as the biggest on the company calendar, and its merits and pitfalls will be discussed for days to come.

In the main event of night one, Seth Rollins grabbed the win and walked away with a new manager in the form of Paul Heyman, who betrayed both Roman Reigns and CM Punk. In the headline bout on night two, John Cena won a record 17th World Championship thanks to a helping hand from Travis Scott.

During the show, Michael Cole also announced a new documentary called Unreal that will take fans behind the scenes like never before.

New WWE Documentary On The Way

Netflix has now released the first trailer for the series, although a premiere date remains unknown. The clip gives a brief glimpse into the writers’ room as Triple H declares that it’s time to truly lift the curtain.

For the first time ever, step into the WWE writer’s room and outside the ring with your favorite Superstars, where the drama is just as intense offstage as it is under the spotlight.

As noted by Variety, the documentary will be a ten-episode series, with each episode lasting 50 minutes. The docuseries will be produced by Omaha Productions, NFL Films, Skydance Sports, and WWE. Omaha Productions also worked on Stephanie’s Places.

WWE officially partnered with Netflix in January 2024, with the deal coming into effect 12 months later when Monday Night Raw premiered on the streaming platform.

The staggering agreement is worth $500 million per year for the next ten years, with the option to extend for a further decade.

WrestleMania weekend was a weekend of announcements for the sports entertainment giant after it announced the acquisition of AAA, a return to Australia in October, and the date and location for Money In The Bank.
