Top WWE Star’s Reported Injury Seemingly A Storyline

WWE Superstars are often sidelined for injuries, and that forces the creative team to change storylines. However, sometimes the injuries are a part of storylines.

The superstar in question here is Dominik Mysterio.

He was supposed to defend the Intercontinental Championship against AJ Styles at Night of Champions. However, the match was removed from the card owing to him being injured.

Dominik Mysterio’s injury ahead of WWE Night of Champions can be a storyline

Dirty Dom is out on injury around the same time as Liv Morgan. While she is actually injured, it is possible Dominik Mysterio’s injury can be a storyline to spread further turmoil within The Judgment Day, especially if he does not defend the title for 30 days.

Bill Apter analyzed the situation during WrestleVotes Q&A on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge.

I think it’s storyline related, I don’t know, but it just seems to happen at the same time with the Liv Morgan thing, and what I would like to see is if they keep him out a while. The old rule was that if you don’t defend your title within 30 days, the title is stripped from you. That would be a great angle if he’s away for 30 days and they strip him with the belt. Can you imagine the craziness going on in The Judgment Day if that happened?

Furthermore, it seems that Raquel Rodriguez has found an ally in Roxanne Perez, and Finn Balor is the one who introduced Perez to The Judgment Day. With both Morgan and Mysterio gone, Perez might be added to the faction.
