Top WWE Star Wants Match With Batista

Batista aka Dave Bautista

A big-name WWE star wants to see Batista make a comeback.

Drew McIntyre stars opposite Dave Bautista, better known as Batista in the new movie “The Killer’s Game,’ In the film, McIntyre’s character is tracking down Batista and they end up fighting on-screen.

Despite portions of their respective WWE careers overlapping, the fight scene was the first time the pair came face to face in combat. However, if McIntyre gets his way, it won’t be the last.

During a new interview with Comicbook to promote the movie, McIntyre said he hopes the scene isn’t the closest they ever come to a match before taking a cheeky dig at his co-star.

I hope not. I mean, the fight itself was a lot of fun and I was disappointed during my time in WWE when Dave was there. I kind of grew up around him in my early 20s. He was such a big star. Obviously, at the time, his peak of his career, we never had that singles match.

So it’s fun to get to fight with no restrictions. You can kill people in movies. But I am very up for it, obviously. It’s in Dave’s court. I said this earlier, I’m not saying that Dave’s chicken if he doesn’t accept the match, but he’s definitely something that’s another word for a cat. “

Batista Rules Out In-Ring Return

Despite the pleas from McIntyre, it doesn’t look like he’ll be getting his wish. During a recent interview, Batista reiterated that he’ll never wrestle again as he doesn’t want to ruin the perfect ending to his career.

The Hollywood star explained that very wrestlers get to choose how they retire, but he did, and that means something.

“Wrestlers don’t get to choose the way they go out. I did. I went out on my own terms the way I wanted with the guy I wanted to go out with. I will never tarnish that. It’s not that I don’t miss it.

“The Killer’s Game” recently sponsored the Strap Match between McIntyre and CM Punk at Bash In Berlin.
