Top WWE Star Urged To Revive Alter Ego For Cody Rhodes Match

Cody Rhodes’ journey since returning to WWE at WrestleMania 38 has been quite the story.

He ended Roman Reigns’ iconic title reign at WrestleMania 40, lost the title to a heel John Cena at WrestleMania 41, and dethroned a babyface John Cena at SummerSlam for the same championship.

This year, his feuds and stories were mostly wrapped with Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens, and John Cena. However, it seems that Cena and Rhodes’ story is over, and fans can expect a batch of new challengers will come forth.

Kevin Nash wants to see the ‘demon’ against Cody Rhodes

WWE fans want to see The American Nightmare turn heel and face newer superstars to keep the story moving forward.

On an episode of Kliq, Kevin Nash spoke about wanting to see Cody Rhodes face WWE RAW superstar Finn Balor, but in the demon character.

I haven’t seen Balor wrestle Cody in a while. I’d like to watch that. Finn, Cody, I would like to see that match … but I want to see him as the demon. [h/t: Wrestling Inc]

Finn Balor’s last time working as ‘The Demon’ was back at Extreme Rules 2021. He took on then-WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns as ‘The Demon’, but could not capture the title.

While Rhodes and Balor have had singles matches, Finn Balor has never taken on Rhodes as ‘The Demon’ character.
