Top WWE Star Rules Out AEW Switch
One of WWE’s biggest names has no desire to leave.
Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley) exploded onto the WWE scene as The Shield, and for years, their careers have been intertwined. Even after the group broke up in 2014, the trio managed to keep finding each other until Moxley left in April 2019.
Despite Moxley being out of the picture and now in AEW, much like Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, Reigns and Rollins have become the embodiment of a couple who just can’t seem to move on. No matter what happens and what brand they’re on, they end up back in each other’s orbit, even if it’s just to fight.
In the main event of WrestleMania 40, Seth Rollins was one of several stars to run in and try and help combat The Bloodline, but he did so in his Shield gear with the group’s music. This led some fans to briefly wonder if Moxley was making a surprise appearance.
During an appearance on WFAN Radio with Brandon Tierney and Sal Licata, Rollins was asked about a potential Shield reunion. The star all but ruled it out, noting Moxley is “over in the other company,” before adding that he and Reigns are “here for life,” seemingly confirming he’ll never leave WWE.
“Look, one of our guys is over in the other company. So he ain’t coming. And Roman Reigns and I are here for life. Look, our paths are gonna be intertwined. We’re gonna crisscross here and there until both of us are done and retired. So you never know. You never know what WrestleMania is going to look like. You never know what next month is going to look like. Could be anytime.”
Becky Lynch Will Make WWE Return
In the same interview, Seth Rollins claimed that Becky Lynch would return to the ring in WWE, hitting back at online speculation that she might be retired.
The star hasn’t appeared on WWE television since losing to Liv Morgan on the May 27, 2024, edition of Raw. In the days after the show, the star let her contract expire and headed home to spend some quality time with her young daughter while turning her hand to a few non-wrestling projects.
Despite her absence, it was reported in January that Becky Lynch has agreed to a new WWE contract.
