Top WWE Star Guarantees R-Truth’s Return
A top WWE star has claimed that R-Truth’s departure from WWE is only temporary.
Truth recently took to X to announce his exit, shocking fans and industry insiders alike. The veteran received overwhelming support, with some fans laying accusations on Triple H and TKO.
Since the R-Truth release, the Stamford-based company has let go of several other talents, including Carlito and Sarah Logan.
Sheamus recently appeared on The Pat McAfee Show as part of TST (The Soccer Tournament). McAfee discussed the recent WWE releases and other opportunities available with many wrestling companies co-existing, but how there was always a road back into the company.
Sheamus agreed with his peer.
Yeah, it’s not the end. So many guys and girls have left and come back. It’s not the end, like, sometimes it’s a bit of a break, and there’s no way Truth is not gonna come back at some stage. I’m sure you’ll see him again.
Same (happened) with Carlito. Carlito was gone for a while. He came back, you know, and it’s not the end. If you truly wanna find your way back, you’ll find your way back. [From 34:18 – 34:40]
Sheamus, too, recently spoke about the setbacks he had suffered in WWE, including his failed attempt at pitching a storyline to company executives that saw him chase the Intercontinental Championship.
Vince Russo gave his take on R-Truth’s WWE Exit
Discussing these releases, former WWE creative writer Vince Russo explained that it may be due to the company looking to cut costs.
He (R-Truth) is making a ton of money. Truth is also 53 years old, let’s not forget that, so now what TKO is looking at is we’re paying this 53-year-old veteran X amount of dollars, we can probably bring in five people from NXT and not pay them as much as R-Truth.
As per industry experts, releasing top wrestlers has now become a pattern, much to the dismay of WWE fans.
The latest Raw episode witnessed an encore during different segments, with fans chanting Truth’s name. The incident brought back memories of the time when CM Punk left the company, resulting in chants for CM Punk on many occasions.
