Top WWE Star Dealing With “Chronic” Injury Issues
One of WWE’s biggest names is taking time off.
Following SummerSlam, the bad blood between CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, and Seth Rollins is still very much evident. The match between Punk and McIntyre with Rollins as the referee did little to calm the animosity, instead somehow raising it.
On the following episode of Raw, Punk and Rollins came face to face in the ring, but before things got too serious, McIntyre arrived through the crowd with the bracelet he stole from Punk. Incensed, Punk took off, leaving Rollins alone. Not that he was alone for long.
Bronson Reed decided to vent his frustration at his current position by demolishing Rollins, hitting him with a Death Valley Driver and a senton then six Tsunamis leaving him laid out and spitting up blood.
Seth Rollins Taking A Break From WWE
Following the beating, it was reported Seth Rollins would be taking some time off as he was “banged up.” In a further update in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted Rollins is dealing with “chronic” injury issues, but he’s trying to manage them and stay on top of things.
Rollins is cleared but is still banged up and is trying to get in the best physical condition. His issues are chronic but not at the point to getting flagged. He’s trying to stay ahead of the things so will be taking a little time off.
Rollins took two months off following WrestleMania 40 to undergo surgery to deal with a knee injury suffered back in January. In order to make the showpiece event Rollins spent several weeks out of the ring, although he continued to appear on television.
