Top WWE Star Calls For “Evolution” PLE To Return
A big name in the WWE women’s division thinks it’s time to do another Evolution PLE.
The first and only WWE Premium Live Event that featured just women’s matches was called Evolution. The WWE Evolution PLE took place on October 28, 2018, and it was headlined by Ronda Rousey retaining the Raw Women’s Title over Nikki Bella.
There were some other big matches on the show like Becky Lynch beating Charlotte Flair in a Last Woman Standing Match to retain the Smackdown Women’s Title. That match is considered one of the best women’s matches in WWE history and obviously, that’s one of the best women’s rivalries ever as well.
It was a show that was full of big names featuring women from the roster at the time including Bayley, Sasha Banks, Natalya, Mickie James, and others. There were also WWE Hall of Famers on the show like Trish Stratus, Lita, Ivory and Torrie Wilson as well.
Even though Evolution was well-received as an event with great matches in front of a hot crowd, WWE never did it again. There were rumors at the time that the event only happened because women’s wrestlers weren’t allowed to compete on WWE’s Saudi Arabia shows. It was about one year later at WWE Crown Jewel 2019 when Natalya beat Lacey Evans when women were finally allowed to be in matches at WWE’s Saudi shows.
Bayley is the current WWE Women’s Champion, who commented during Smackdown on Friday night that the Queen of the Ring tournament is a good example of why WWE needs to do another Evolution PLE.

Bayley Issues Challenge On WWE SmackDown
Following a successful WWE Women’s Title defense at Backlash France, Bayley is looking for new challengers. During a backstage interview on WWE Smackdown in Jacksonville, Bayley was interrupted by Piper Niven and Chelsea Green. During the discussion, Bayley seemed to challenge Niven to a match. Nothing was officially announced, but there could be a clash between the champion and the powerful Niven soon.
