Top TNA Star Signs New Contract
One of the biggest names in TNA Wrestling has agreed to a new contract with the company.
Nic Nemeth was known as Dolph Ziggler for two decades before being granted his release by the company. When he became a free agent, he likely had a lot of options about where he could go in his career as a pro wrestler. Nemeth chose TNA Wrestling.
At the TNA Slammiversary PPV last July, TNA’s biggest crowd of the year witnessed Nic Nemeth become the new TNA World Champion. For over 170 days since then, Nemeth has fought off everybody who has tried to take the TNA World Title from him.
As for Nic Nemeth’s future, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reports that Nemeth has signed an extension on his TNA deal. The deal he was on would have expired at the start of 2025, but Nemeth came to terms with the company on an extension. There’s no word yet on how long Nemeth’s deal with TNA is for.
The TNA Tag Team Champions Matt & Jeff Hardy also recently signed new deals with the company that will keep them in TNA for most of the rest of 2025.
Nic Nemeth Defending TNA World Title At Genesis
At the TNA Genesis PPV on January 19th, Joe Hendry will have a shot at Nemeth’s TNA World Championship at the Genesis PLE on January 19th in a match that could be considered the biggest match of Hendry’s career. It’s also a match that could lead to a title change as well.
In this week’s TNA Impact main event tag team match, Nic Nemeth and his brother Ryan lost to Hendry and Rhino in a tag team match. Hendry pinned Ryan to win the match, which probably isn’t a surprise considering Ryan’s win-loss record is a lot worse than his older brother Nic’s record in TNA.
