Top Star Blasts Claims Swerve Strickland Is Leading AEW

Swerve Strickland AEW

Darby Allin has slammed suggestions that Swerve Strickland is the leader of AEW.

The 31 year-old star, who was last seen at Double Or Nothing on 26th May, descended from the rafters at AEW Dynamite 250 to declare himself as a member of Team AEW to take on The Elite in the Blood and Guts match on the 24th July edition of AEW Dynamite.

Allin will join Mark Briscoe, Max Caster, Anthony Bowens and Swerve Strickland in Team AEW, although he refuted claims that former rival Strickland would lead the team in a promo captured by AEW following Allin’s bout with Beast Mortos on the 20th July edition of Collision:

“But you know what really pisses me off? Is we got Swerve. I hate all these ads for Blood and Guts. Team AEW led by Swerve. Swerve doesn’t leave. He’s not my leader”.

“As far as I’m concerned, I was the one who put him in a coffin last year at All In and closed the casket. Not saying I should be main inventing this All In. But you know what? I am back. I want the TNT Championship, I want the World Championship, give me all the belts.”

Allin would go on to declare that he would put aside his feelings for Strickland for one night before challenging Jack Perry to a match at All In, set to emanate from London’s Wembley Stadium on 25th August:

“As far as Blood and Guts is concerned, I’m gonna put my history aside with Swerve just for one night. We have bigger fish to kill, and that is the Elite. Jack, I said it out there tonight, I wanna see your ass at Wembley.”

AEW Veteran Believes Swerve Strickland Is A Generational Talent
