Top Star Blasts Lack Of Accountability In “Previous Iteration” Of AEW
AEW is in the midst of a revolution.
Not content with the road he saw AEW heading down, Jon Moxley decided it was time for a change. However, not many expected the change would be so vicious and violent in its execution.
In light of the malaise he felt was taking over the company, Moxley declared it was time for a revolution, and quickly captured the AEW World Championship. This saw him turn his back on long-time friend Bryan Danielson, suffocating him with a plastic bag and sending him into retirement.
Meanwhile, now at the head of the Death Riders with the addition of Marina Shafir, Moxley has proven that no one is safe from the group’s new-found aggression.

During an interview with Shakiel Mahjouri for CBS Sports, Moxley broke down the motivation behind his recent push to change the company. The World Champion cited a lack of accountability as a major issue, adding that he’s happy to put the company on his back and step up where others won’t.
Perhaps ominously for his rivals, Moxley noted his revolution won’t happen overnight, but he’s very much in it for the long haul.
“I had a vision. A vision of a future. A vision that could be ours. That it could belong to everybody. A vision of a world where everyone can be successful. A vision of a world where everyone’s strengths are brought to the forefront. A vision of a world that is inhospitable for bullsh*t.
One thing I found challenging in the previous iteration of AEW was, I found it challenging to find anyone who would take responsibility for anything. ‘It’s not my fault’ was a thing that would be heard bouncing around the hallways of AEW quite ubiquitously.
Essentially, what it boils down to is, I’ll take responsibility for everything. For every single thing. I’ll make it my responsibility. You can blame me. If we run out of hot dogs tonight, if the vendor runs out of hot dogs in Rhode Island, I’ll make it my responsibility, blame me. I’ll go to Costco, get 30 boxes of hot dogs and I’ll drive them to the building. I’ll make sure we have enough for next time.
I’ll have my wife bake cookies for three days straight I’ll drive them to the building myself. Whatever I have to do. There is stuff that it can’t not get done. It can’t not get confronted. I’ll do it myself.
I can rely on the person to the right and left of me. That’s my group and circle and that’s what we’re doing. That circle will grow. None of this stuff happens overnight. There’s no press a button and it looks entirely different on the surface,”
In summing up his epiphany, Moxley added “The cool thing for me is, I don’t give a single f*ck. I have not one single f*ck to give.”
Many fans have wondered why Renee Paquette makes of her husband’s actions, but she recently commented she’s content for him to do his own thing. Additionally, she stays out of his way when it comes to work.
Jon Moxley will be back in action at Full Gear when he puts the AEW World Championship on the line against Orange Cassidy.
