Top NXT Star Not Moving To Main Roster

WWE NXT Triple H Shawn Michaels

A major NXT star will be sticking around in WWE’s third brand.

On the October 8th episode of NXT, Tony D’Angelo defeated Oba Femi to claim the North American Title. The victory ended Femi’s record-breaking reign at 273 days. However, the former champion didn’t take the defeat lying down.

Oba Femi confronted D’Angelo the following week and a rematch was set at Halloween Havoc. But for a second time, it was D’Angelo who ended the night with his hand raised.

Following the event, it was rumoured that Femi had been saying his goodbyes and was expected to move to the main roster. The speculation gathered pace in light of Femi not only losing his title but failing to win it back. Despite this, it seems the online chatter is just speculation.

According to a report from Fightful Select who spoke to talent, production staff, and other sources, Femi wasn’t saying goodbye at Halloween Havoc, and is expected to remain with the brand for the time being.

Oba Femi is expected to have a bright future with the company, with many predicting he’ll eventually become World Champion.

Bubba Ray Dudley To Compete In NXT

Following Halloween Havoc, NXT is due to head to the world-famous 2300 Arena, better known as the ECW Arena on November 6th.

At the taping, Bubba Ray Dudley will return to a WWE ring for the first time since 2016 to team with Trick Williams to take on Ethan Page and Ridge Holland. The veteran initially turned down the match, but after being attacked by Page and Holland, he soon changed his mind.

The show will also feature an appearance from Dawn Marie, whileit’s been reported that WWE has approached Lita about getting back in the ring.
