Top NJPW Star Blasts AEW’s “Butthurt Little Freaks”

AEW Tony Khan

A big-name NJPW star is looking to AEW for a fresh challenge.

After weeks of taunting, Gabe Kidd went to war with Kenny Omega at Wrestle Dynasty in January. Although he came up short against Omega, Kidd impressed many with his performance, and his repeated verbal shots at AEW, Tony Khan, and just about everyone associated with the company didn’t go unnoticed.

Fast forward to the February 22 edition of Collision and Kidd was back in an AEW ring, where he made short work of The Butcher.

Although the match was his first singles bout on AEW television, Kidd wrestled on Rampage back in June 2024 where he teamed with Roderick Strong to beat The Infantry. 10 days later, he also wrestled at Forbidden Door.

Gabe Kidd Sends Warning To AEW

In a backstage digital exclusive, a fired-up Kidd laughed off the challenge provided by The Butcher, challenging someone else to step up and face him.

I told you man to stop playing with me man! When did I tell you to stop playing with me? I told ya, Butcher, Butcher, you’re gonna put me in the ring with The Butcher? I butcher people on the regular, are you mad?

I am very mad. And I’m here now. And I’ve been talkin’ a lot of sh*t about your company and nobody seems to be doing anything about it. So I turned up, I’m here taking a p*ss all over the floor, what are any of you butthurt little freaks gonna do about it? Who’s gonna step up? Who’s gonna step up to the madman?

Away from Kenny Omega, Gabe Kidd also has a history with Eddie Kingston. It was during a match with Kidd in January 2024 that Kingston suffered a broken leg and a major knee injury. The star hasn’t wrestled since sustaining the injuries and he’s not expected back for at least three more months.
