Top Free Agent To Sign With AEW
A highly coveted free agent is on the verge of signing with AEW.
On November 14th it was reported that Mike Bailey was a free agent after leaving TNA. The three-time X-Division Champion’s contract is believed to have expired on November 1st, and he wasn’t present at the company’s most recent set of tapings.
Although Bailey still appears on some TNA flyers, there are no plans to use him going forward, and he said his goodbyes to the rest of the roster when he finished up in Detriot.
Bailey is incredibly well-liked within the industry and was expected to have people within AEW and WWE pushing for him according to Fightful. The star was backstage with AEW during the summer and once agreed to a deal with WWE.
Mike Bailey Expected To Join AEW
A further report from Fightful Select has now confirmed that Bailey is expected to become All Elite.
Several sources, including those in TNA, pointed out that if Bailey was heading to WWE, there would have been no need to write him off television given the relationship between the two companies.
AEW has continued to add to its roster in recent months with the signings of MVP, Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley. The reformed Hurt Business, now known as the Hurt Syndicate, has found itself at odds with Swerve Strickland and his manager Prince Nana.
Lashley is set to make his in-ring debut at Full Gear against Strickland.
