Top Babyface May Become Heel In Storyline With Roman Reigns

The speculations around Roman Reigns’ SummerSlam 2025 match are at an all-time high.

There are at least two superstars who want to fight The OTC due to what he did to them during The Bloodline era, Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre.

However, putting Reigns in a storyline with either of them ahead of The Biggest Party of the Summer might not be the way forward.

Roman Reigns might take on a former rival as a babyface

Currently, the former Undisputed WWE Champion is working as a babyface. He returned at SummerSlam 2024 to help Cody Rhodes against Solo Sikoa and Co. Following that, he even teamed up with The American Nightmare at Bad Blood 2025.

However, if WWE wants to build an impactful storyline with Reigns, it needs to be against a top heel in the company. Of course, John Cena is the one who comes to mind first.

On Notsam Wrestling, Sam Roberts provided another direction that the global juggernaut can pursue, where Cody Rhodes is a heel against a babyface Roman Reigns, especially since he is supposed to return ahead of SummerSlam 2025.

What’s the best thing a babyface can do? chase, right? What if Roman is chasing his title? And an evil Cody Rhodes has it. I am just saying, these are things that could happen. Honestly, with all the speculations with Roman Reigns, I would not mind if he shows up at SummerSlam.

Currently, Rhodes is the King of the Ring and will challenge for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2025.
