Top AEW Women’s Star “Working Through Injury” Prior To All In London
Wrestlers are always working through injuries and one of the women competing at AEW All In has been doing exactly that as they head into a huge championship match.
Over the last couple of weeks, AEW has set the for the four-way Women’s Championship match at All In London next Sunday, August 27th in Wembley Stadium.
Hikaru Shida beat Toni Storm to become the AEW Women’s Champion on the 200th episode of Dynamite on August 2nd. Since Storm is supposed to get a rematch, AEW put Storm into All In four-way match.
As for Shida, she beat Anna Jay to qualify for the match. If Jay had won, she would have gone into the match as the champion. Saraya, who is from England, also qualified by beating Skye Blue.
This past Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. qualified for the Women’s Title match at All In when she defeated The Bunny in a match result that likely didn’t surprise most people. Baker, after all, is the face of the AEW women’s division so it makes sense for Britt to be in the match at Wembley Stadium
Britt Baker Dealing With Injury Going Into All In
It has also been reported that Baker has been dealing with an injury going into All In. During a Q&A on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp spoke about how Baker has been feeling of late.
“She has certainly been working banged up. I don’t know what a specific injury is or if there is a specific injury, or if she’s just hurt. But I can tell you, in my previous conversations with Britt Baker on camera, she takes a lot of pride in working through injuries and getting through situations like that. But a lot of people have noticed it.”
