A key AEW performer is reportedly due to be questioned regarding the alleged backstage incident from All Out this past Sunday.

CM Punk, Ace Steel, and The Elite are six names currently dominating wrestling headlines following their alleged brawl, stemming from the All Out backstage brawl. They weren’t the only names involved, however, as Christopher Daniels, Brandon Cutler, and others are also facing suspensions for their interventions.

Though not directly involved in the physical altercation, it’s said that MJF may have been a witness. Dave Meltzer wrote in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the 2022 Casino Ladder Match winner will be questioned by an external investigator:

“The company has brought in an independent firm to investigate and do video interviews with everyone in the room, which included all the names mentioned above, as well as many others, including a number of neutral parties who were in the room and were believed to have seen everything as it happened. The key names that would have [been] included were Max “MJF” Friedman and AEW and Jacksonville Jaguars Chief Legal Officer Megha Parekh.”

It’s unknown how much, exactly, MJF witnessed, though these details are likely to surface imminently. He presumably would have been in the nearby area, given his involvement in the closing angle of the pay-per-view itself.

As it stands, Ace Steel, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Pat Buck, Christopher Daniels, Michael Nakazawa, and Brandon Cutler are all said to be suspended. Steel was added to the initial list published by Sports Illustrated. CM Punk’s contract status remains a mystery while he nurses an arm injury.
