Top AEW Star Becomes First Semi-Finalist Of Continental Classic 2025
AEW presented a special episode tonight as it hosted its yearly Dynamite on 34th Street special from the iconic Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. The marquee show had some great action on offer, especially in the Continental Classic.
The 2025 edition of the Continental Classic has proven to be extremely competitive till now, as only one wrestler has been confirmed to reach the semi-finals now, and that too was decided on tonight’s episode.
The semi-finals and finals of the tournament are set for the World’s End PPV this weekend, and the winner of the tournament will be crowned the new AEW Continental Champion.
Konosuke Takeshita moves one step closer to becoming AEW Champion again
The IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, Konosuke Takeshita, was in action tonight as he faced Orange Cassidy in the Blue League match to open the show.
He emerged victorious in the match over the Freshly Squeezed and continued his great run in the tournament, as he moved to 13 points and confirmed a spot for himself in the semi-finals.

Regardless of what happens in the tournament for other wrestlers, the Don Callis Family will now at least have one representative at the World’s End PPV in Chicago this Saturday.
