Tony Schiavone Names “Best In The Business” On Colour Commentary
AEW announcer Tony Schiavone has named the person he thinks is the “best in the business” currently as a colour commentator in wrestling.
During his stints in WCW, WWE, and AEW, Tony Schiavone has worked with some of the greatest – and not so much – wrestling announcers of all time. Schiavone has shared a broadcast table with the likes of Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan, Jesse Ventura, Mike Tenay, Dusty Rhodes, Jim Ross, and even Mark Madden.
Nowadays, Schiavone can be heard on Wednesday nights on AEW Dynamite where he now shares announcing duties with Excalibur and Taz.
Speaking on his What Happened When podcast, Tony Schiavone had some kind words for his broadcast partner from the Red Hook section of Brooklyn, New York as he called Taz the best in the business:
“I said you’re the best in the business at colour commentary. He is so much fun to work with. He really is. The reason is, you can turn him on a f*cking dime. I can say something he doesn’t like and all of a sudden, he gets f*cking angry. He’ll admit it. He’s like, ‘I just can’t help myself. I’m sorry. I just can’t.'”
Tony Schiavone also recently revealed that his son Matt has joined AEW as a producer for the company after leaving his role with Fox News.
