Tony Schiavone Sickened By AEW’s 2 Self-Absorbed Pricks
Tony Schiavone has had his say on two of AEW’s “self-absorbed pricks” after he narrowly avoided complete disaster on Collision.
At Dynasty, FTR brutally turned on Adam Copeland, leaving him on a stretcher and out of action indefinitely. On the April 12 edition of Collision, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler gave an explanation for their attack on Cope, even if they said they didn’t owe the fans one.
Harwood said FTR’s only direction for months had been becoming the new ‘Edge Heads,’ and like every wrestler in Cope’s position, he was selfish. He then turned his attention to Tony Schiavone, inviting him into the ring to repeat his damning comments from Dynasty.
As the tension increased, FTR went to give Tony Schiavone a stuffed piledriver before Nigel McGuinness got in the ring to save his broadcast partner. In response, Harwood threatened McGuinness, only stopping when Daniel Garcia rushed the ring to calm everything down.
FTR left after extending a hand to Garcia, and McGuinness warned Schiavone to never put him in that position again. But now, from a very safe distance, Schiavone has had his say on FTR.
Tony Schiavone Invites FTR To Kiss His Ass
Speaking on What Happened When, Tony Schiavone let loose on Wheeler and Harwood, saying what he really feels about the pair and their shocking actions:
Dax and Cash are self-absorbed pricks. They’re worried more about themselves than their friends and the people that helped them. I like to think that I helped their career by calling their matches and making them seem bigger than life, because they have been. I really love the fact that when they came into AEW, they wanted to bring tag team wrestling back to what it was by holding the tag rope and making great tag team wrestling.
I thought they did, and then I went ahead and gave my opinion on Wednesday; they called me in the ring on Saturday. Nigel said don’t go into the ring and you know what here’s what I thought about going – what is it going to do for them as wrestlers to beat up a 67-year-old, fat ass announcer, right? For crying out loud, so I thought for sure that I was gonna be safe, but they decided to try to do the stuffed piledriver on me knowing that my back and neck are very weak, for a moment I was thinking ‘Well, I’m a dead man.’
But then again, here comes Nigel McGuinness, who by the way is not only a great announcer, he and I are also very good friends. He took care of me, I’ll never be able to repay him enough. Who know what’s gonna happen, who knows if they’re gonna try and attack me but I can tell you this, they can both kiss my ass.
I used to text Dax and tell him how great his matches were and he said ‘I really appreciate it’ and text Cash to tell him how good – and much they did for western North Carolina in the floods that happened during the hurricanes but to see two guys just let their egos control everything they do just blows me away.
Tony Schiavone revealed on AEW Spring BreakThru that FTR had been fined and suspended for their actions.
