Tony Khan Urged To Turn This Star Into AEW’s Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns has unquestionably been WWE’s biggest star of the last 5 years, and Tony Khan has been told to follow that blueprint for one AEW talent.
Roman Reigns caught fire in 2020 when he was paired with Paul Heyman and began his run as the untouchable WWE Universal Champion and Tribal Chief.
Five years later, Reigns is an integral part of the top of the card in WWE, but his star is saved for the bigger shows of the year as he begins to turn one eye towards Hollywood.
One AEW star making his own waves in Hollywood is MJF, who has a prominent role in Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore 2. And it seems Tony Khan is being urged not to let this opportunity pass him by.
MJF To Be AEW’s Roman Reigns?
Speaking on Coach & Bro, former WWE star Jonathan Coachman explained that because of MJF’s role in Happy Gimore 2, the full weight of AEW’s publicity machine should be thrusting the star to new heights and making him their equivalent of WWE’s Roman Reigns:
Happy Gilmore 2 is coming out Friday. Who’s one of the main stars of Happy Gilmore 2? MJF. If I’m AEW, I am lighting up everything I have to make MJF a bigger star than I am right now. I’m going to turn him into the Roman Reigns of WWE.
