Tony Khan AEW

The Continental Classic is coming to AEW and Tony Khan has announced a Selection Special to reveal which twelve stars will compete.

The Continental Classic will be a twelve-man round-robin tournament that will see two blocks of six stars face each other with the final taking place at Worlds End on December 30.

Bryan Danielson was the first AEW star confirmed for the tournament despite him recently suffering a broken orbital bone. Andrade El Idolo and Mark Briscoe are also part of the Classic but it was Eddie Kingston who raised the stakes even further at Full Gear.

Kingston told the world that in addition to the winner of the tournament being crowned as AEW Continental Champion, his ROH World and NJPW STRONG Titles would also be up for grabs meaning the man who wins the whole competition will win an all-new version of an American Triple Crown.
