Tony Khan Sets One Huge AEW Goal For 2025
Tony Khan has one major goal for AEW in 2025 as the company moves into a new era following major TV deals signed in recent weeks.
AEW signed a new four-year deal with Warner Brothers Discovery to keep Dynamite and Collision on TNS and TNT moving forward. There was also big news from Mexico as AEW signed a major deal with FOX in that country for content as well.
And it seems the international market is going to be a priority for Tony Khan moving forward.
Tony Khan Sets International AEW Goal For 2025
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Tony Khan has one major goal for AEW in 2025 and the company’s new deal with FOX is a big part of it:
They are going to do more spending than they’re doing because Tony is very much into international growth. That’s the 2025 goal – to grow internationally and get TV into more international places.
The FOX Sports Mexico deal is the example of the battle plan. The battle plan is ‘This is the station WWE is on.’ What’s interesting is WWE is on the station until the end of the year so WWE did not sign exclusively as they usually do. So they’re both on the same station.
AEW is heading to Australia for the first time in 2025 with Grand Slam in Brisbane while Forbidden Door will head to London, England but the company won’t be back in Wembley Stadium until 2026.
