Tony Khan Set To Make AEW History
Tony Khan is teasing big things for AEW.
All Elite Wrestling is just weeks away from its biggest event of the year, and a new media rights deal is reportedly moving ever closer.
Ahead of the August 10th episode of AEW Collision, Tony Khan put out his usual pre-show hype message on social media, but this time he dropped another huge tease. Although he didn’t give any details, Khan wrote that one of the most important announcements in AEW history is “looming large.”
Many believe the announcement will be a new media rights deal with Warner Bros Discovery after Khan met with WBD boss David Zaslav in Paris during the Olympics.

Tony Khan Behind Young Bucks’ AEW Absence
Back in April, The Elite attacked Tony Khan on Dynamite, leaving him battered as the show went off the air. The stunning moment seemed as though it was setting up a storyline that would dominate the summer, but things haven’t quite played out like that.
The Bucks have been missing from television in recent weeks, wrestling just in just five matches after they attacked Khan on April 24th. Furthermore, the pair haven’t defended the World Tag Team Titles they won back at Dynasty.
It’s since been reported that Tony Khan and the contract he signed with The Young Bucks is the reason behind their absence. According to the report, the Jackson brothers’ AEW deal is for a set number of dates, meaning they can’t be on television every week.
