Tony Khan Screams At AEW Star In Rare Dynamite Appearance
Tony Khan has laid down the law to a major AEW star as he makes a rare televised appearance on Dynamite.
MJF is a desperate man. He thought he had everything figured out when he captured the win in the Casino Gauntlet match at All In Texas that guaranteed him a match for the AEW World Championship. However, Adam Page goaded him into using that contract for their Forbidden Door match before MJF took desperate measures to reverse that decision.
MJF enlisted the help of GOA and Ricochet to hold Mark Briscoe hostage with The Salt of the Earth, threatening to set him on fire if Page didn’t allow him a title match and keep his contract. Following that, Tony Khan changed the rules on how the Casino Gauntlet cash-ins work, meaning anyone holding the contract must give a champion one week’s notice before cashing it in.
Now, Mark Briscoe is looking for revenge on MJF and picked a Tables ‘n’ Thumbtacks match as the stipulation for their All Out match. And MJF is trying to weasel his way out of that match as well.
Tony Khan Owes MJF Nothing
On the September To Remember edition of Dynamite, MJF confronted AEW boss Tony Khan behind closed doors as he demanded to be taken out of the dangerous match with Briscoe. Khan was severe in his response as he shouted at the former AEW World Champion that he owed him nothing and that MJF “violated the rules of AEW and the integrity of the sport of professional wrestling” in how he had dealt with Briscoe in recent weeks.
A furious MJF screamed at Khan that when there “is another Briscoe in the dirt”, it would be on Tony Khan and not him.
