Bryan Danielson made his surprise AEW debut at the end of All Out in 2021. Since then, Danielson has continued to cement his legacy as one of the best in-ring performers of the modern era, not just in the world today.

Meanwhile, the American Dragon has been steadily gaining influence backstage, and he’s heavily involved in the running of Collision.

As Danielson continues to wind down his full-time career, his impact on AEW and wrestling in general has come into sharper focus. Speaking on an episode of his What Happened When podcast, Tony Schiavone said Danielson was one of Tony Khan’s best-ever hires.

“Bryan Danielson was one of Tony Khan’s best hires, as far as the talent is concerned, for a number of reasons. Number one because his performance, and number two because he just has great ideas. He is a great leader, and he also knows talent, and he can pick out guys that he thinks are great. He can pick out talent, he can pick guys that he thinks, ‘Hey, we need to use them a lot more.’ He’s so valuable to this company for everything.”
