Tony Khan Overrules EVPs As Major AEW Star Returns To Dynamite

Tony Khan Young Bucks

Following her suspension from AEW, Britt Baker has returned to Dynamite thanks to Tony Khan but she didn’t appear in person on the show.

According to a report from Dave Meltzer, the star was suspended for at least a week following a confrontation with MJF and his girlfriend Alicia Atout.

A further report from Fightful Select has now given an update on the situation and some of the details behind the spat. As reported by Fightful, Baker “exercised frustration about MJF within the women’s locker room” and word made its way back to the American Champion via Atout who was in the room.

This led to “confrontations” between Baker and Atout, and Baker and MJF. Following his interaction with Baker, MJF is said to have punched a wall.

Baker’s absence was explained on television as a result of her actions at Comic Con when she confronted TBS Champion Mercedes Mone. Mone took great delight in flexing her relationship with EVPs The Young Bucks in making sure Baker wouldn’t be in attendance on the show.

But now Tony Khan has flexed his own authority.

Tony Khan Brings Back Britt Baker

On Dynamite in Winston-Salem, Mercedes Mone thanked The Young Bucks for Baker’s suspension after her ally Kamille picked up a dominant win in a handicap match. However, she was soon interrupted by Tony Schiavone who revealed a message from Christopher Daniels that came from Tony Khan stating that Khan had overruled The Bucks and Baker’s suspension was over.

Britt Baker then appeared via satellite sending a strong message to Mercedes Mone and indicating that she will be back in person on Dynamite on the 14th of August. Baker and Mercedes Mone will clash for the TBS Title at All In.
